ABOUT VALERIE

valerie black and whiteValerie Spelman has been creative from a very young age. Whether working with textiles, landscaping, painting, or re-purposing flea market finds, she sees design possibilities everywhere.  She has a background in interior design, floral design, seasonal decorating and special event decor.  Valerie also has experience as a Real Estate agent, but found her true passion was not selling homes, but styling and decorating them instead.  Valerie is a member of the Interior Redecorators Network, having trained with best selling author, Lauri Ward.  Valerie’s passion for design and creating inviting spaces led her to open her business in 2006 and as a  result has had many opportunities to help clients with their homes whether by redesigning their homes using what they own or providing full service design.  Her expertise has also included seasonal decorating for hotels, parties, special events and styling for magazine shoots.  Valerie has been featured in Romantic Homes magazine several times for her work, and her clients include the National Historic Mission Inn and Spa, and Casey’s Cupcakes in Orange County.

Knowing how to make homes more beautiful, comfortable and functional has not only made many homeowners happier with their homes, but has also led to the sale of many homes for top dollar, in a shorter period of time.  Whether you are looking to update your present home or are selling your existing one,  Valerie has the talent and knowledge to help both homeowners and Real Estate agents.

She believes when your home is filled with things that make your heart sing, it is a pleasure to be there.

Have nothing in your house you do not believe to be useful and beautiful – William Morris
